iPhone App: Yelp Monocle

So this is something that i found out about yesterday regarding the Yelp! app and the Augemented Reality feature. I think this only works on the 3GS phone, and the most up to date app (version 3.0). 

Go ahead, download it, and install the app into your phone. Open the phone up to the Nearby page and begin shaking your phone. Shake it like you would a polaroid picture. Shake it until a message pops up that ask you if you want to enable Monocle. 

Enable it, and the a Monocle button will appear on the top left of the Nearby page. Hit that and what you will see is the Augment Reality feature. Basically you'll see a camera view, BUT you'll see the different restaurants, stores, whatever your looking for, in the direction they are. 

The screenshot I took was taken inside my office, and the restaurants still showed up in the direction they are in. 

Pretty cool stuff.
